Mobile Training Center

Training capability in one unit

Inside the Expandable Touchdown trailer, trainees work with a high‑fidelity LED wall and a sound floor that adds haptic feedback. Depending on configuration, reactive covers can be added to vary scenarios. The instructor station sits next to the training area for real‑time control, performance tracking, and After Action Review. With laserless tracking, movement stays natural, and the system supports a wide range of weapons, including the option to use blanks with a dedicated filtration setup. The result is a compact, repeatable environment for individual and squad‑based exercises that can be stood up quickly and used anywhere.

Built on Expandable - powered by Guardiaris

The MTC combines Expandable’s core strengths—mobility, easy setup, low step‑in height, and short delivery times—with Guardiaris’ simulation stack for dependable, data‑rich training. The trailer tows with a standard truck, unfolds hydraulically, and is fully operational in under an hour. Structural independence and an internal generator support use in remote locations; air conditioning plus air, sand, and smoke filtration keep training safe and comfortable. Guardiaris’ GUARD™ image generator and laserless tracking deliver precise results without lasers or reflectors, while performance metrics and After Action Review help instructors close the loop on every session.

A joint solution for deployable marksmanship and tactics

The Mobile Training Center is a standalone platform that packages Guardiaris’ Small‑Arms Mobile Trainer (SAMT™) inside an expandable hydraulic trailer. It’s designed to move between sites, support multiple teams, and deliver consistent training without reliance on fixed facilities.

A state‑of‑the‑art LED wall and a sound floor create visual and haptic realism. Depending on configuration, reactive covers can be positioned between the display and the floor. A protected storage area near the entrance includes a workbench and weapon racks, so trainees gear up before entering the training space. The instructor station sits alongside the range, providing scenario control, live monitoring, metrics, and a complete After Action Review process via the GUARD™ control panel.

Laserless tracking and free movement

The in‑house SAS module enables laserless weapon and device tracking. It mounts on a Picatinny rail or can be integrated into modified real weapons, replicas, or even helmets. This keeps movement natural, feeds precise data to the AAR system, and makes results immediately available for analysis and individualized training plans.

After Action Review with first‑person insight

AAR consolidates training data for individual or squad‑level analysis. Instructors can also review a trainee’s first‑person view, including weapon handling and task execution, to pinpoint what worked and what needs refinement—while exercises are still fresh.

The GUARD™ image generator supports on‑demand terrain from real‑world data, rapid scenario creation, building destruction, multi‑level vehicle vulnerability models, and ballistics calculated to specification. This gives instructors the tools to build varied and realistic marksmanship and tactical exercises without leaving the trailer.

Mobility and independence

The MTC is towed by a standard truck and can be set up in under an hour. All training equipment is pre‑installed; after use, the trailer folds to standard transport dimensions for storage or the next move. An internal generator provides autonomous operation and can also connect to external power. Air conditioning plus air, sand, and smoke filtration enable training with a broad range of weapons, including blank ammunition.

The platform is HLA‑interoperable, allowing connections with other simulators in a shared synthetic environment. Guardiaris systems—from SAMT™ and SATT to MMVT, MATS, MAAT, IMOT, and AFOT—can be combined for complex training across small arms, anti‑tank, vehicle, air‑defense, mortar crew, and forward observer roles.

Why Expandable for the shell

Expandable’s movable spaces are built for cost efficiency, easy operation, fast delivery, and practical adaptability. The Touchdown trailer lowers close to ground level for a low entry height and faster, safer setup, while the hydraulic expansion creates more usable floor area without compromising transportability. Together with Guardiaris’ simulation technology, the MTC becomes a compact, repeatable environment that’s simple to deploy and straightforward to maintain.

Made with Guardiaris

This application is a collaboration. Expandable provides the mobile infrastructure; Guardiaris supplies the simulation hardware and software. Both teams coordinate configuration and options to meet unit‑specific requirements—from layout and storage to scenario content and performance reporting.
